And the Winners Are…
Six hundred and forty runners and walkers participated in Friday’s SHARES Runaround, which marks the 28th consecutive time this annual 3 km race has been held. Justine Owen won the women’s race with a time of 13:18, and, for the fourth year in a row, Dula Parkinson won the men’s race with a time of 9:40. Complete results will be published in The View on Nov. 18, as well as in a couple of weeks on the Runaround website.

State Assembly Panel
To Visit Lab Tomorrow
Members of the State's Assembly Committee on Higher Education, chaired by Assemblywoman Carol Liu (D-Pasadena), are holding a hearing on the importance of University of California graduate education and research to California tomorrow afternoon at UC Berkeley. Prior to that session, they will tour Berkeley Lab from 11 a.m. to noon and have lunch with Director Steve Chu. Go here to view a list of Committee members.
