A/V Services to Some Conference Rooms Eliminated

Deputy Director for Operations Sally Benson has announced a reorganization of the laboratory’s AV support for conference rooms. This is a result of the Operations and Information Technologies and Services (ITSD) continuous improvement process to provide better Lab services at reduced cost.

Effective January 1, 2005, the Lab’s Audio-visual services for conference rooms will now be limited to the Building 50 auditorium, Building 66 auditorium and Perseverance Hall and will continue to be provided by ITSD through its Networking and Telecommunications Department, which will now oversee Audio-visual services. Please continue to contact [email protected] for services in these major rooms. All services provided in the three major locations will continue as they have in the past, including rental equipment, and in-room LCD ceiling mounted or booth projectors. Services in support of the smaller conference rooms, and the provision of rental laptops and portable LCD projectors to these locations, will be discontinued. If you have questions, please contact ITSD/NTD/AV Services at x6068.

These changes were the result of a study group commissioned by Benson and ITSD Division Director Sandy Merola and chaired by Michael Banda.
