from Techni-Tool will be at the Lab this Wednesday to
distribute their new catalogs. The reps will be at the
entrance to the Cafeteria from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Their product line includes everything from power tools
and lighting equipment to chemicals, cleaners and adhesives.

Miller Retirement Luncheon April 2

15 years, Ed Miller, a plant maintenance
technician for the Facilities Division, has worked to
keep a lot of Berkeley Lab folks comfortable. He is
being honored at a retirement luncheon on Friday, April
2 at La Strada Italian Restaurant in San Pablo. For

In
less than three months, the Evans Brothers
demolition company reduced a six-story experimental
beam hall the size of a football field to
flat ground, as shown in this photo taken
last week after the final framework came
down. The historic Bevatron, the hall's
silent neighbor, now stands alone, awaiting
federal funds that will allow it, too, to
retire gracefully from the hill after over
10 years of ceasing operations.
