Congresswoman Judy Biggert (R-IL), who chairs the Energy Subcommittee of the House Science Committee, urged support for H.R. 34, a bill she recently introduced that calls for DOE's Office of Science to receive an overall increase in funding of nearly 62 percent by FY2007. The Congresswoman was one of the featured speakers at last week's DOE Nanoscale Science Research Centers workshop in Washington, D.C. A full story on the workshop will appear in this week's Currents. The American Institute of Physics' analysis of H.R. 34 can be read here.
