Greetings from Sen. Boxer on Lab’s 75th Anniversary

Dear Friends,

I send my warmest greetings as you gather to celebrate the milestone 75th anniversary of the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. While I am unable to join you, I send my best regards for a memorable evening.

For 75 years, Lawrence Berkeley Lab has been an international leader in science and engineering research. Home to 11 Nobel Laureates, the Berkeley Lab is among the preeminent science laboratories in the world.

I would like to welcome Energy Secretary Samuel Bodman to California and the Berkeley Lab. I hope Secretary Bodman has a successful and inspiring visit.

Greetings from Sen. Feinstein on Lab’s 75th Anniversary

As you know, Congress is in session and sadly, I am unable to join you, but I send my warm wishes for a wonderful evening as you commemorate the 75th anniversary of the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory.

Let me extend a very warm welcome to the United States Secretary of Energy, Sam Bodman, and to all of his colleagues from the Department of Energy. The Department’s investment in Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory and the entire stable of national laboratories is a key driver of American innovation. I applaud your commitment to this remarkable institution and urge you to continue your strong support of its mission, infrastructure and vision.

Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory is a standard bearer of research and discovery in the scientific community and is one of California’s finest assets. As you gather to celebrate the Lab’s 75th anniversary, I would like to extend my congratulations to all employees, past and present, and thank you for your scientific and technological contributions to the Country, the State, and the San Francisco Bay Area. On behalf of the people of the great state of California, I salute your dedication, hard work, and proud accomplishments.
