FY06 CONUS Rates

The DOE has approved extended the rate of $100.00/day for Berkeley Lab employees for use in Alameda County. The new FY'06 CONUS lodging rate for Alameda County is $89/day, a reduction of $11/day from FY'05. Go here for complete list of hotels.

Standard Mileage Rate Increases for September through December

In response to the recent dramatic increase in gas prices, the IRS has announced that the standard reimbursement rates per mile for expenses incurred in connection with the use of a private automobile have been increased; the new rates are effective for expenses incurred on or after Sept 1 through December. The standard reimbursement rate for the use of a private automobile for

Berkeley Laboratory travel will increase from 40.5 cents a mile to 48.5 cents a mile. The standard reimbursement rate for driving or shipping an automobile in connection with a move or relocation will increase from 15 cents a mile to 22 cents a mile.

New YCal and VCal Airfares

The new discount YCal and VCal (Unrestricted California Government) airfare contracts   between the State of California and the following airlines: are Southwest, United, American, America West and JetBlue. Both are fully unrestricted however the Vcal is capacity controlled. All contract fares are available via Cliqbook except for JetBlue.
