Traffic, Parking Changes to Former EPB Area

1)   In a few weeks an additional 30 general parking spaces will be lined and available for use. These spaces will be located in areas that have been cleared and made safe for the general Laboratory community. Watch Today at Berkeley Lab for an announcement that   the spaces are available.

2) A fenced construction laydown/crew-parking area will be created in the center of the former EPB Hall area. This area will soon be used to support the higher level of construction effort at the Molecular Foundry (MF) as this building moves toward completion in less than a year. Use of this location will allow us to meet the MF's heightened needs without an impact on employee parking. After the MF work is completed, this area will again be used to support deconstruction of the Bevatron. This area has therefore not been improved or made safe for use by the general Laboratory community. Signs will be posted alerting the general community to stay clear of this area.
