Electrical Safety Policies

• All electrical components must be assumed energized until positively proven otherwise.
  
  
• Only qualified Facilities Division electricians may work on the electrical distribution system at the Lab.
  
  
• Employees should Stop Unsafe Work in the face of imminent danger.   Additionally, employees should aggressively apply the core functions of Integrated Safety Management and carefully assess hazards and implement proper controls whenever any new conditions or hazards are uncovered.
  
  
• Abnormal safety events, including near-miss incidents, should be promptly reported to division management.
