Protective Measures During Pipetting Activities Include :
Select a light-weight ergonomic pipetter sized for your hand.
Use anti-fatigue floor mats if standing for long periods.
Sit supported against the backrest of your chair.
Adjust your chair to the work height.
Work with arms close to the body to reduce strain on shoulders
Avoid twisting or rotating your wrist while pipetting.
Alternate or using both hands to pipette.
Hold the pipetter with a relaxed grip.
Consider electronic pipetters that can you can program the
volume to extract and dispense (see below).
Take a short micro pauses or 1 to 2 minute break after every
20 minutes when pipetting.
Rotate pipetting tasks among several people.
