                    Services, a workshop that covers the new Lab-Hosted Meeting 
                    Requests forms and changes, Thursday, 
                    Jan. 22, 10 a.m.- noon and 2-4 p.m., 2-100B; and ASD9025: 
                    Managing Property in a Dynamic Environment, Part Two, 
                    an interactive hands-on training report retrieval workshop, 
                    Thursday, Jan. 22, 2-3 p.m., and Friday, Jan. 23, 10-11 a.m.,

                    Thin-Film Exhibit, Workshop Set  
                  A 
                    technical exhibit and workshop on vacuum and thin-film equipment, 
                    featuring 19 manufacturers, will be held next Tuesday from 
                    10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Perseverance Hall. Among the companies 
                    on hand will be CTI Cryogenics, Granville-Phillips, VAT, Ametek/Dycor, 
                    Shimadzu, Vacuubrand, Leybold Optics, Telemark, Atlas, Heatwave 
                    Labs, AJA, SCM, HIS, Von Ardenne, CCR, PTI, Verionix, F.K. 
                    Instrument, and Manitou.

                  12-kv Generator Testing
                  Starts on Tuesday  
                  The 
                    Facilities Electrical Department will be testing the Lab's 
                    2-megawatt, 12-kilovolt generator beginning next Tuesday. 
                    All Lab loads will be transferred to Bus 1 for functional 
                    testing on Bus 2; then to Bus 2 for functional testing on 
                    Bus 1. 
                    On 
                    Jan. 21 all Lab loads will be transferred back to their normal 
                    configurations. A hill public address announcement will be 
                    made prior to the transfers, which will be transparent to 
                    the Laboratory community. Interruption of power is unlikely, 
                    but since the possibility always exists, take all necessary 
                    precautions.For

                  Traveling 
                    Resource Center 
                    Returns to Bay Area 
                   
                    The Departments of Labor and Energy Traveling Resource Center 
                    will return to the San Francisco Bay Area next Tuesday and 
                    Wednesday. Representatives will assist workers/survivors in 
                    answering questions or filing claims under the Energy Employees 
                    Occupational Illness Compensation Program. The center will 
                    be held at the Four Points by Sheraton Hotel, 5115 Hopyard 
                    Road, Pleasanton, from 8:30 a.m. to 6 pm. Call 925-422-2567
