Of Breast Cancer Study

The new Bay Area center announced last week to study environmental factors that lead to the development of breast cancer, which includes Berkeley Lab researchers, evolved from earlier studies in Marin County that involved the Lab's Chris Erdmann of Environmental Energy Technologies. Erdmann, a scientist in the Exposure and Risk Analysis Group in the Indoor Environment Department, is currently at the University of Michigan but will maintain her Berkeley Lab appointment as she participates in the Breast Cancer and the Environment Research Center partnership. Read the Sacramento Bee's report on the $35 million research initiative here.
