Negotiations Continue On
Unit 99 Election
Representatives
from the University of California and the University Professional
and Technical Employees (UPTE) are continuing to meet
and discuss issues relative to the upcoming election for
Administrative Professional employees, known collectively
as Unit 99. Among the subjects being debated is the makeup
of the unit, including which classifications should qualify
for inclusion. An election by affected employees to determine
whether or not they want to be represented by UPTE probably
won’t take place before early next year. Updates
will be posted on the UC "At Your Service" website,
as well as the Lab's Human Resources website.
