ALS
Exhibit Today
Displays Student Art
The
artistic talents of UC Berkeley art, architecture and engineering
students will be on display today in and around the Advanced Light
Source. The ALS served as the subject for the young artists, and
their impressions of Berkeley Labs defining structure will
be exhibited from 3 to 4:30 p.m. All Berkeley Lab employees are
invited to stop by and experience the student visions. |

Today's
the Day: Earthquake
Drill Means Duck, Cover, Hold
At
10 this morning, the public address announcement will instruct all
laboratory employees to "duck, cover and hold," the key
elements to an earthquake drill. That will be followed by a request
to exit the building until a signal is given to return. The entire
exercise will take no more than 10 minutes. Various vendors of earthquake
supplies and technology will again be in the cafeteria lobby from
11:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. |
