Claims to Clean Virus
E-mail
messages from mcafee.com and other sources claim a
user has sent an e-mail message containing a virus and that
the user needs to go to the URL specified in the message to
download a tool that will clean the user's computer. The Lab's
Computer Protection Program urges that users not comply. If
the tool is downloaded, a system will be compromised. |
